Demo contracts vs real contracts

How sandbox contracts created during tutorials work and how to convert them into real contracts.

When you follow an interactive tutorial inside the app, Runican may create a contract in demo mode so you can practise risk-free. It is a sandbox contract clearly separated from the rest.

How to identify a demo contract

  • It carries a "DEMO" watermark on the preview and on the PDF.
  • In your contracts list it shows a "Demo" tag next to the title.
  • It is internally flagged as `is_demo: true` and auto-deletes after 24 hours.

What they are for

They let you learn the editor without spending one of the three free-plan contracts and without fear of mistakes. You can download the demo PDF (watermarked) and share the form link with a colleague to see the full flow.

How to convert a demo into a real contract

  • Open the demo contract from your list.
  • Click "Convert to real contract" at the top of the editor.
  • Confirm the conversion: the contract loses the watermark, counts against your plan quota and stops auto-deleting.

If you leave a demo contract unconverted for more than 24 h, it is fully deleted: you cannot recover it.
